CRICKET BELL. Etienne still remains in my number one spot aswell, but Cricket is a totally separate breed of adorable. I am so happy Stephanie has opened your eyes to the potential of contemporary - it did the same for me! Oh and Taneika? SHUT UP. Your contemp reviews are not freaking horrible! They're AWESOME!

I recommend you give Saving June by Hannah Harrington a try. It's completely different in feel and tone to Anna and Lola and not heavy on the swoony romance, but oh my, I LOVE IT!! There is still romance. And music. And roadtrips. And awesome characters. Ooh and also, Good Oil by Laura Buzo - Aussie contemp :) But if you ever try either of those and hate them, DON'T BLAME ME!Brodiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16389909407256668662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2129771937753211058.post-76042537611473117332011-12-07T20:17:12.151+08:002011-12-07T20:17:12.151+08:00Reading your review makes me want to re-read Anna ...Reading your review makes me want to re-read Anna and Lola all over again!! I also enjoyed Anna more, and of course, no one can EVER replace St. Clair!!! Yesyes, Stephanie's writing is just incredible! I'm actually not much of a contemporary reader either ( I just don't enjoy it and they're hard to review!) , but after reading Anna & Lola, I'm starting to try other contemporary YA! Awesome review <3Shirleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15660299375972501570noreply@blogger.com
