In My Mailbox is a weekly feature by The Story Siren which allows us to drool with one another over the books that we received or bought this week!

So as you may know already (cos I was STOKED), I won a massive prize pack from Brodie and Lisa's month-long Valentine's Event! I received the rest last week (I've already included Jenna & Jonah's Fauxmance in my last IMM) and I CAN NOT WAIT TO READ THEM <3 YAYYYY! I also got four little heart post-its (I LOVE POST IT NOTES) that say, "Things that shouldn't be forgotten"... Cuteeee!

So after I finished Hunting Lila, I lent it to my Aunty Caroline... needless to say she LOVED it, so she bought me Fated :D *squeals* (so she can read it too of course!), she ordered it from Book Depository and when I found out she got it for me, I was absolutely ecstatic so I opened the package and then my whole world came crumbling down (Ahaha!) for the book HAD BEEN CUT. As in when they opened the box or whatever, they opened it with a knife and CUT THE COVER. I was devastated haha, but Aunty Caroline sorted it out ;). AND NOW I HAVE ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL BOOK BY SARAH ALDERSON! *ahem* So, moving on....

As for the uh, SPICE GIRLS MOVIE *jumps up and down* and the little Mario Mushroom were both random little gifts from Mum when she came to visit me :)
I watched the Spice Girls movie on Saturday night and honestly, I never realised how strange it was when I was a kid, they take their overdue pregnant bestfriend out to a club HAHAHAHA ohhh how I love it <3 (It's still obviously awesome)

On Netgalley (I've been catching up on my Galleys lately *high five*), I received two Steampunk novels a while ago (I've kept forgetting about them!), I've only read Girl in the Steel Corset so I'm looking forward to see where the sequel goes and I'm mega excited for Innocent Darkness... Also, how GORGEOUS is the cover. AHHH!

OH I have been extremely spoilt in the past week and a bit!

Last week I recieved Delirium, some postcards and and an adorable handmade card from her! Rebecca from Reading Wishes really didn't want Amy or myself to break our book buying ban because needless to say, we've been going a little bit crazy! So, she decided to be really sneaky and sent us both a book we've had on our wishlist for ages! Isn't she naughty! (Or maybe just awesome :D). I've been driving myself crazy because I didn't have Delirium and it's been at the top of my wishlist for ages, my wish has come true <3 She also wrapped mine in purple and pink packaging (she obviously knows me too well, already!)


I also found out that last week, I won a massive prize pack from Brodie and Lisa's month-long Valentine's Event!
I got the first book in the mail today, along with MY FIRST EVER SWAG! Now, this has me over-excited because I've never received anything like that before. So when I find that I got a signed bookmark, bookplate and a cover, I went a little spastic :)

As it turns out, Lisa from Read Me, Bookmark Me, Love Me, lives about 10 minutes down the road from me haha, and she also threw in a signed cover of Storm (hello sexy boys on the cover).

So Amy and I are into the third month of our book buying ban AND IT SUCKS.
Imagine my surprise when I actually got books IN THE MAIL this week! I won Touch of Power by Maria V. Snyder from a giveaway hosted by Brodie (I LOVE HER) and HarlequinTeen. This will be my first Maria book and I've heard nothing but amazing things about all of her books, so I'm really excited to start this!!


In addition to this surprise, Mum decided to spoil me (I LOVE HER ALSO). I started back up at uni last week so I just got back "home" from my real home, and after spending 4 months at home I feel a little sad :(. Mum ended up sending me The Future of Us and Switched! Turns out Dolly magazine (an Aussie magazine for girls aged 13-17ish) was giving away Switched this month! WHATTT? I mean it has, "exclusive to Dolly" written across the top (see picture!) and whatnot, but I'm still so happy :)

Before I left, Mum and I got us each the first series of The Universe (it was onlt $15 from the Post Office, I love you Australia Post - sometimes) and we got a little over excited over this because we're both big nerds ;)

Well, hello thar Stephen King!
My Mum is a huge Stephen King fan, she is quite willing to pay $85 for a Hardcover (which is what she paid for The Dark Tower), which is pretty insane. But she has an impressive collection, so she gave me her double ups! The ones in the photo are ones she has replaced because they got uh, well-read... For example, she read the copy of The Stand about 11 times, not including "flick throughs" to check the cross over character references that King tends to do in alot of his books...

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Mum knows I have a love for old leatherbound books - Pride and Prejudice is fairly destroyed but I think it still looks beautiful :) and I also now have two copies of The Wizard of Oz <3
I've just had a look up of this edition of Pride and Prejudice and it was published in 1934! So I think it's in pretty impressive condition considering it doesn't look like it's been well looked after!

The "Charmers" series of Barbie books were my absolutely favourite when I was little, and they've now been passed down to my little sisters. I decided to buy this on ebay for like, $3 so that one day I can possibly read them to my kids :) and it'll be in good condition!! So yeah, this is just me being strange :D

Okay, so first of all, both of these books are SO TINY and SO CUTE.

Seriously, just to compare I took photos of the books by themselves and then with another fairly normal sized book (Under the Never Sky, which has been in a previous IMM).

SERIOUSLY HOW TINY IS ALL THAT BLEEDS AND HOW SKINNY IS LIPS TOUCH??

Not only that but Lips Touch was wait for it... $30.00. Seriously. Thirty. As in 3x $10. Hello most expensive book I've ever bought. Ever. You are lucky you're pretty and have beautiful illustrations AND you were written by an incredible author...

I bought the Wizard of Oz and Alice with my Christmas giftcard from Target because I thought they were really cute editions, I already have a beautiful edition of Alice in Wonderland, but I couldn't help myself (plus they were only $10!)As for Eternity, I'm a sucker for old (1980's-1990's) Sci-Fi, Paranormal and YA. This sounds really interesting but it's a sequel so I must get the first one, Eon :) Plus, it only costs me $5.

Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear laptop, Happy birthday to you! Hip hip hooray!! One year ago, I got my laptop for Christmas from my Dad and stepmum, Kelly! Laptop has come to uni with me, been lugged around and has helped me with blogging. Kelly has suggested I give laptop a name, so her name is now Libby... Not sure where I got that from but it may possibly be inspired from Jimmy Neutron...

As for the IMM!

So no, these aren't books... But these are presents from Dad and Kelly... The things I'd like to point out are the PINK Wii Remote and the little notepad or sticky notes! I am obsessed with sticky notes, I use them for absolutely everything and these ones are sooo cute :) Oh, and I bought myself the dishwashing stuff because I broke my last one - I just thought I'd wrap it up and put it in my stocking! Hahaha!

HALLOWED! AHHHHH! I was in the book store, simply browsing, not planning on buying anything... Then I spot the beautiful thing pictured in the photo to the right and I actually started to HYPERVENTILATE, Mum asks me what's wrong and then the next thing, I'm jumping up and down squealing, so Mum felt obliged to get it for me :)
I LOVE Australia with books lately :) First, Shatter Me is out 2 weeks early, now Hallowed is in like, 3 weeks early! WOOO!
Now, I finished reading it last night, it was mind-blowing! (I read from page 30-end in one sitting, THAT good!) Review will be up tomorrow :)

This is my first IMM and I'm aware that the picture arrangement looks REALLY bad - I couldn't figure it out!!

Anywho, these are books that I've bought in the past 2 weeks and as you may be aware of, I've already done reviews for Daughter and Unearthly... I just bought Unearthly in paperback so I think that counts :).

I'm really looking forward to the rest and I'm stoked that I found Shatter Me in stores early! Yayyy :) I'll be reviewing all of them eventually, except for the WW2 one and I've only got about 100 pages to go in Shatter Me (it's awesome by the way!). Also, I got Ninth Grade Slays and Eleventh Grade Burns for... wait for it... $2 at Kmart a couple of weeks ago! How awesome is that?? They unfortunately didn't have Tenth Grade, oh well!
